Dressing your age!

Mutton dressed as lamb. We have all heard the phrase and I doubt anyone would want to be described that way.
Now I don't really like to limit anything just because of age. However I do think in some cases it is worth thinking about. We all want to look our absolute best and that might mean taking certain things like age into account.
I have seen people lose a lot of weight then suddenly start dressing like an 18 year old. I understand why. They have just worked really hard to lose all the weight and want to wear everything they maybe didn't have the confidence for when they were bigger.
But, if your goal is to look your best then I think it is worth taking age into account. Years ago a lady I knew, had worked hard and got into good shape so understandably wanted to wear what she wanted. This lady was in her 60's. She was wearing a leather mini skirt with fishnet tights, a strappy top and over knee boots. Now that outfit is hard to pull of for anyone. It honestly didn't do her any favours. So what could she have done differently ?
I would have swapped the mini skirt for a knee length pencil skirt, shoes not boots and a more covered top such as a t-shirt or knit. It would, in my opinion have looked so much better and I think classier.
So you can wear the look you want but it will most likely look better if you make a few tweaks to adjust for your age.
Of course if you would rather just wear what you want then go for it, you do you. This is just my opinion.
The image below is an example of a leather skirt outfit that is a little more wearable for most ages.
